Have I been forgotten

Did anyone else suffer from their Sky Q box going into standby and even after doing all the usual tricks of unplugging etc could not get the box to work. Being a Diamond VIP customer I do not to be without Sky. I thought that the problem was with my box so I purchased one from EBay. I received an email on 22/5 saying a technical issue had caused this problem. It also told how to remedy this problem. I tried all the usual tricks but the fault persisted.
I telephoned a wonderful Sky customer service agent. She tried everything she could to help but she was obstructed because my account said I had Sky+and not SkyQ. The email I received from Sky addressed me by name and said sorry that I had a problem with SkyQ. The conversation with the Sky customer service representative was nearly a fortnight ago. Are any other customers or Diamond VIP customers being treated like this.

@IOWCOW

Do you definitely have a Sky Q subscription (where you've posted)?

If you've acquired a Sky Q box from eBay then you've bought stolen goods as Sky Q boxes are loaned to customers by Sky and should have been returned when they cancelled.

Re: Have I been forgotten

Yes I definitely have a Sky Q subscription which was recognised by Sky in the  email infoming me of the problems that had occurred. I have numerous Sky+ boxes that were never requested to be returned to Sky.

@IOWCOW You own the Sky+ boxes, however as advised Sky Q hardware are loaned and can't be bought at all let alone from a 3rd party, the one you bought off eBay needs to have been returned to Sky by the seller and I would suggest contacting them to return this and get a refund.

If you needed a replacement Sky Q box only Sky can provide it, is there a reason why you didn't contact Sky for a replacement?

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.
