HDR problems with Philips The Xtra

I am having issues with what appears to be an automatic, unrequested and intermittent turning on and off of the hdr signal whilst watching live tv, recordings and during app streaming. The picture will look perfect and then really dark alternately as the signal comes and goes, does anybody have any idea what may be causing this please?

Make sure first off that it's set up correctly (this is presuming you do have a q box that is HDR compliant):-

Sorry, I should add that the box is HDR compliant and all the settings have been verified with Sky twice. Do you know if it is possible to edit the post to reflect that?
