HBO Max

Hi guys,

Trying to access HBO Max on Sky Q which should come free but seems I might have first accessed it on holiday and now it's saying no plans available as accessed from a different region (or words to that effect).

Any idea how I fix that?

Cheers,

Re: HBO Max

I've encountered this with a number of streaming services. The only solution I've found is to create a new email address. Its a bit annoying but there are plenty of free options out there. Proton mail is my favourite at the moment.

Re: HBO Max

Yeah I tried creating an account using a different email address but it said it wasn't recognised so not sure what to do. I've messed Sky on their chat but no reply

Re: HBO Max

Technically the problem is at the HBO Max end rather than with Sky based on what you said. In the meantime it might also be worth contacting HBO and seeing if they can disassociate your email address from the foreign account.

Re: HBO Max

Contacted HBO Max and all now resolved.

Basic steps required as follows:

Here’s how to activate HBO Max:

1. https://www.sky.com/activate-subscription/handover/hbo-max?irct=web-tv_hbo-max-gbr-activate-subs
2. Sign into your Sky account and select 'Start Activation'
3. Follow the prompts to create an HBO Max account.
4. Now you can sign in at HBOMax.com or download the HBO Max app to stream.

Said to use Google Chrome brower, clear the cache, cookies and browsing data before trying the steps. Its even better if you use a new incognito window and follow the steps.
