Re: HBO Max is Now Included in Most TV Packages!
For those of you who pay for TNT Sports via Sky and can stream it ok on HBO Max. When you look at your list of packages in MySky, does your package say HBO Max with TNT or similar?
Mine doesn't work still but has it shown as 2 separate packages - TNT and HBO Basic with ads.
Thanks

Re: HBO Max basic
Same here, just called SKY, at first they said it will only work on 1 box. I questioned that by quoting the email informing us about getting HBO. They then went away & said it will work on all boxes from 1st April. Yet again SKY roll something out without telling their customer call handlers how it works.

So with Sky Q they limited on more than one Sky box at present and from I read from some other post on here that if you try on a second box it want charge. How ever if you got other devices they will all except my Sky subscription no problem. Apart from my Sky box I have got my Amazon fire stick and my ipad, iPhone Apple TV box, and smart tv all with HBO max app on and they have all activated my subscription with out asking for ore money.Yet with the apps on the Sky box s for some reason they have limiters to one at present. What a mess.

Meh, I cancelled TNT in November 2024 because WWE went on Netflix last January.
Yet up to about 7 months ago they were still taking monthly money off me and I had a NIGHTMARE to get out of it, Sky wouldn't do anything and kept telling me to contact BT, I did, they told me to contact Sky!

This is not the case - SKY Q customers are not restricted to a single box for sign in
I suspect it is due to the way some customers may be trying to sign in
I think the easiest way is to ensure that a password is set on another device & then use the 6 digit code presented on the SKY Q box on the other device

Re: HBO Max is Now Included in Most TV Packages!
Quick update on my experience so far. After being able to activate HBO Max easily enough via my Sky Q box, a few days later, yesterday to be precise, I decided to upgrade to the Premium tier. I was able to do this easily enough, again through my Sky Q box. I didn't even need to enter my debit card details in full; it only wanted the 3-digit security number. This may be because I already have Disney+ set up on Sky Marketplace. My plan is to watch the film One Battle After Another, the 2-part Mel Brooks documentary, and S1 of The Pitt, and then cancel the Premium tier & go back to the original tier with ads. I will then wait until S2 of The Pitt has dropped all episodes & resubscribe to the Premium tier. Watched S1 E1 of The Pitt last night, great opening episode.

In theory at least you can switch back to the free tier now, as you've paid for the month you'll still get Premium access until that point.

Hi - I was paying extra for the Sky And Skipping pack and was able to look at TV shows like Game of Thrones skipping all adds. Now, with HBO, I cannot skip the ads and keep watching Game of Thrones as I was doing before: to do so I would need to upgrade the HBO subscription and thus pay a 'double extra'. It seems to me that I am in a woes off position. Can I possibly get HBO without adds? Thanks in advance.
You've already answered your own question, yes you can but you have to pay HBO extra (HBO, not Sky as it's not their content).

Also - there's one d in "ads" - it's short for advertisements.

@Chodley They did spell ads correctly in their post as well, though.

Re: HBO Max is Now Included in Most TV Packages!
Hi MightyQuinn
Mine shows just as TNT when I go into MySky and check my packages. I can view the live TNT sports channels on Sky, but I only have HBO Max basic with ads, so it says I don't have access to stream the sport on the HBO app (both on TV and mobile). It tells me to get access via Sky.
