This seems to be the only app that doesn't show films in full screen.

It shows films in the original format the film was made. So on wide screen you get the black edges. Dose Sky cinema do the same?

Re: HBO Max is Now Included in Most TV Packages!

I have a few questions regarding the HBO Max Premium tier.

1: Can I upgrade to the Premium tier via my Sky Q box? If yes, then how?

2: If it's no to the above, what is the quickest & easiest way to upgrade? Is it via the MySky app or online?

I rarely use the MySky app, so if I have to use it to upgrade, how do I navigate that?

3: I only want to watch a film & S1 of The Pitt on the Premium tier at the moment. Can I upgrade to Premium

and then immediately cancel it so that I only have it for 1 month?

4: How is the extra payment for Premium handled? Is it via my Sky monthly bill or through Sky Marketplace?

  Thanks in advance.

Re: HBO Max is Now Included in Most TV Packages!

I was told this is an official forum where sky employees look at and remedy issues. I started a separate thread (2.37pm yesterday) within a couple of hours someone from sky must have trad it because it was moved on to this existing thread yet no response from sky, just a long list a people who have issues and sky pretending to ignore their customers.  If I am wrong please respond sky.

If anyone has a better way of contacting sky I would be grateful.  I phoned them yesterday got a guy who couldn't help or transfer me any further. Im not on social media so can't go on there. I cant find an email address that can go to someone higher up in sky to look at. Currently I'm very disappointed with sky, their customer services have disintegrated and when my contract next comes up this wont entice me to renew and I've been a customer a long time.

I've just activated my HBO subscription via Mobile Phone don't have access to my Sky Q box process was simple and quite straight forward

Obviously if I want to upgrade to premium having the Sky Q box would help but at the moment quite happy to watch content via Firetvstick.

Do have TNT but I'd rather keep them separate

hi @Mr+Ripley

yes:

Home - My Sky  - Sky Shop - Scroll down to Sky Marketplace & Select HBO Max

Wait while it loads & Select the Subscription you wish or Manage Subscription & tab / select as required

you will need to enter your PIN at some point

I am not sure if you can cancel immediately but cancelllation does happens at the individual subscription renewal, so probably anytime before.

As you can tell it is all via SKY Marketplace which is separate to normal SKY Billing

@Unhappy+sky+custo Although this is an official Sky forum , this is a customer to customer forum where customers help each other. Superusers can escalate problems to the Sky Community  Messaging Team who can help on some problems

@nigea99  Thanks for the quick reply. Glad I can do it via Sky Q box, not sure I would have found that out on my own though. I've looked through what you have listed, & it all seems easy enough, so I will go ahead via that route sometime soon.

Re: HBO Max is Now Included in Most TV Packages!

Activated Sky using the email address that was prepopulated (my personal one, not one that Sky is linked to). Managed to log in but spotted that we didn't have access to some things. Logged out,  and then realised that certain things we not available on the basic tier. Now I can't log back in with the original email address, nor the one that Sky is registered with.

I have spoken to both HBO and Sky, even asking for Sky to DEACTIVATE the service so that I can try again, and this either hasn't happened, or hasn't worked. I now am technically paying for a new app (as the price is going up next week) and cannot use it.

How can I RESTART the activation and log in to the app!!!

Hi @A33Road  I'm confused how you are paying for it did you enter your card details?

What things weren't available so I can check with my subscription

Some movies require the premium tier so I'm not sure what you were expecting with Basic with ads.

Have you checked the My Sky app to see if HBO is listed

The annual April price rise is unrelated to the expansion of bundled app subscriptions.

Is that with both email addresses?

Have you accessed  HBO Max via a website rather than the app via your Sky Q

Try signing in with the Sky id email address you can request a code to be sent to your email address.

Terry

I have tried activating the product sky has offered for no cost which is HBO max.  No matter how many times I try I can not activate it.  Frustrating as it is, has anyone got any suggestions?  I would appreciate any direction you can offer.  Thank you in anticipation.

Re: HBO Max but no access to full catalogues?

Sky really isn't that expensive and you are getting access to a multitude of platforms. the top tier of Max alone is half the place of the sky bundle before add-ons. It's completely unrealistic to expect that for what you pay
