Getting Expensive!

Sky Q is getting expensive. My father in law is coming out of contract and Sky want £49.50 per month. He's 82, housebound and been with Sky for over 18 years. He's on the basic package with HD, no movies and no sport.

Tried to get on a better deal to save him some money and all customer services did was to try and sell him movies, sport and broadband? How can that be a better deal ?

Not very impressive especially when Sky are offering basic package of Sky Stream between £15 to £22, albeit for new customers only.

Just annoys me and needed to vent my fustration. Thanks for reading.

Essentials on Q is £15pm - free to air channels only but may suit?

Thanks, but as I understand that's for new customers only.

Essential TV on Stream is new customers only, but existing customers can get TV Essentials on Q for £15. It's just the free to air channels but may be enough depending on what he watches.

No.  Confusingly the Essential TV and Essentials are different.  (The former being for stream)

The latter being for Q but allows you to keep the box for free to air channels only.  Alternatively, switch to a freesat 4K box for a small outlay and no subscription costs...

Re: Getting Expensive!

Thanks. He likes Alibi so don't think this would be an option.

Does he like it more than £35 a month?
