Is GB News not available on Sky Q box and mini box, it just says no satellite signal..  I've tried retuning but I don't know the frequency that I need

Re: GB News

I just checked mine, and it is online.

Frankly, I'd be happy if I had your issue with it, but that's another story 😁

You need to talk to Sky.

Don't understand- there isn't a manual tuning function in Sky Q???

I am just another Sky customer!

Re: GB News

There is a manual tuning option.

Go to Home >> Settings, then scroll down to 'manual tuning'.

Should be on channel 512, but only in HD. Do you subscribe to HD channels?

Some frequencies get affected by misalignment or obstructions more than others

GB News changed transponder late last year, somewhat ironically to better serve its expat viewers resident in mainland Europe (particularly southern Spain)

This means the signal for that channel is now more marginal in the UK, and so a much smaller dish misalignment will cause reception issues for UK viewers, particularly in the north and west.

You could get the dish alignment checked, or, if the channel is really important to you, pay for a Zone 2 (60cm) dish to be fitted.

Then send GB News the bill ; )

Freeview channel 236 might be a cheaper option

Not all Freeview local transmitters carry the full channel lineup though: ours has only the PSB stations.

It's partly what Freely is supposed to solve.

In this bit of the world the main masts are sparsely situated and so don't cope with the challenging local topology very well, and relay transmitters which fill in coverage are very limited in the channels they carry: typically only the PSB service which they are legally required to provide.
