Future Bills after contract expires

My contract for Sky Q expires on the 30th June. Today I received an email informing me that my ultimate package was increasing by £1 from the 1/8.
On checking future billing , Sky sports and Sky signature are also increasing but by £2 for each on 1st August .

To my surprise all other discounts I had negotiated up until my contract ends on the 30th June have been reinstated!

I had previously looked and seen that from the contract end date my discounts had not unsurprisingly for Sky disappeared.

I had diarised a call to renegotiate or give notice if no discounts were forthcoming..

A pleasant surprise tbh that I do not have to go through the iterative process of call escalation to negotiate.

Is this the norm now for Sky with legacy Sky Q customers?
