I am trying to access the free (with ads) Disney plus but each time i try i am being taken to a subscription page where I need to enter card details

I have checked and I am eligible for Disney plus for free. Any ideas how I can activate this please?

note you will be asked for payment details regardless of whether you only want basic with ads or not, this is to allow upgrades in the future
