Hi, When I turn on my Sky Q box I get noticeable interference in darker colours on the tv screen (flashing white dots) if I turn the box on and off anywhere between 1 and 15 times it eventually comes on with no interference and works perfectly for the remaining viewing . Any help with this annoyance would be appreciated. TV is a Samsung S90D 65" . Thanks .

Hi , So I've actually fixed this problem , a friend suggested I switched the Sky Q box output from 2160p to 1080p and so far no more flashing dots . I did change the output to 2160p a month or so ago and perhaps didn't notice the dots at first . Anyway problem now solved .

I'm presuming you don't get this when using the TV's built in tuner or apps? It's possibly the HDMI cable, turn off the TV and Q box and take it out and replace at both ends, perhaps try a different TV HDMI port?

Re: Flashing white dots
Hi, I've tried different hdmi cable , different hdmi port and disconnected both from the mains . Sometimes the tv and Sky will come on ok no problems other times one on/off solves it other times 15 on/offs before the flashing dots disappear. Tv is perfect in any other input only sky box causes the problem so I still need help.

Just for clarity, that will only give you HD output on anything from the Q box, even if you pay for UHD on Sky or any of the apps.
There are 8 bit & 10 bit options in the menu that may a difference although the TV settings (and even the HDMI ports) also affect how the picture displays
