Hi @WoodyDaave   I would persevere with the phone, sometimes not engaging with the AI gets you through to an advisor. In the past I have had success with saying "speak to an advisor" on every prompt.

As stated, as of last week we are on Full Fibre, hence land line not working and the hub we have in service has no phone input.

We have a Sky Q hub still in it's box dated 2019 (Model SR203) which was never installed, but of course has phone input.

So, should we install the SR203 hub and connect phone to that?  Or contact Sky for newer hub? 

p.s my attempts to contact a 'real' person at Sky have failed miserably after 2 days of trying.

@WoodyDaave I would use the Sky SR203 router which is also called the Sky broadband hub (the sky Q Hub is an completely different router and a lot older from 2016 called the ER110/115)

As you are on Sky Q I wouldn't ask Sky for the newer Sky Max bub (SR213) (I still use my Sky SR203 even on full broadband) as this router does not contain the meshing equipment that the Q boxes and the SR203 router has so can cause problems for Q customers as the mini boxes cannot be connected to the newer white Sky Max  routers by wifi and instead need to be connected to the main Q box.

Ultimately the choice is yours whether to ask sky for one of the newest routers,  but if you have the SR203 i'd be swapping to that straight away and using that then you can have your landline up and running

I don't understand how your old router still works. Those usually used a DSL (not ethernet) upstream connection with an RJ11 plug. Did the old sky routers also have an ethernet WAN m-side option and the fibre installer just put an ONT in the house and hooked up the old router to that?

A lot of DSL routers can be set up to bypass the built in modem and just act as a router only.

And have an upstream ethernet port (or you assign one?) - makes sense.
