Extra tv channels

Whats with all these extra channels to pay for. Sky is expensive enough. Then everything i like to watch has transferred to amazon or hayu.
We already have to pay for netflix and disney plus, and now when i go to look for anything to watch ots skymstore, amazon or hayu. Come on sky, this isnt on, cost of living and all that. I work full time dont get me wrong but i wont be signing up again when contract runs out

It boils down to what you want to watch and what you're prepared to pay. We dont  subscribe to Netflix, Disney+, Hayu, Amazon or any of the other add-ons and find plenty to watch.

The choice is yours if you want to subscribe to the extra channels Apple Tv free for 3 months via Sky VIP also Hayu is a free trial via Sky VIP

Amazon has it's own subscription tiers

Paramount+ is included with Sky Cinema or it can be offered on a free trial basis via Sky VIP

Disney + Premium via Sky is the same price at Disney.com

Netflix is cheaper via Sky  @Anonymous

The reality is that the landscape has changed around content with multiple streaming platforms.

For example the rights to Disney content was unsurprisingly moved to Disney+ when they launched and is no longer available elsewhere.  (They have decided not to licence their content elsewhere)

So... you need to consider whether Sky is providing value for the content you want.  It may have changed...

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own even if you don't like the answers

Sky is a small regional distribution platform operating in half a dozen European countries.  Realistically it cannot compete with global players on the scale of Disney, Netflix, Apple and Amazon for new content or rights to back catalogues, or prevent content owners moving to online distribution in subscription apps.
