Expand streaming app aka like Crunchyroll
PS, Xbox, TVs all have crunchyroll apps now, but the whole purpose and benefit of sky q and streaming was meant to bring everything as ease if access under 1 remote. I have been a member a year and i dont recall seeing any new apps available to stream from and anime is 1 area becoming more popular. It is a shame. Does anyone else want more options like this? What would they be?

Re: Expand streaming app aka like Crunchyroll
As mentioned before, Sky hardware only hosts apps where the app owner is prepared to contribute financially towards support costs (and, presumably, where there's a large enough user base to make this viable)

Re: Expand streaming app aka like Crunchyroll
How would we make that happen though? Crunchyroll is a paid for service, its not free. If most major tv brands have it and many more it feels like a poll or interest is needed to show sky there is a benefit. I would assume though it is more sky wants £€$ from the provider? Unsure on their model? Does netflix and siney pay them to be on their devices? Or is that funded by our subscriptions?

Sky are unlikely to discuss confidential commercial relationships in public.
You could try contacting Crunchyroll as they would have to liaise with Sky to create/support an app etc...

TV manufacturers and other platforms don't need to extensively (and expensively) staff call centres to deal with subscriber issues though: they just point users to the app owner. Sky is unique in its relationship with its customers, and so has to run a different business model for hosted apps.

Re: Expand streaming app aka like Crunchyroll
since we dont have crunchyroll you can now use the airplay feature and just stream the crunchyroll app from your phone right onto your glass!

Fair comment @Broonie312 Crunchyroll is available via Prime that is an app on the Sky Q box also it's on offer at the moment 99p for 3 months I don't have Sky Glass and I don't need to use my phone when it's available via Prime.

Oh that's cool. We always had to fire the xbox up which hardly gets used otherwise and burns 300W or something just to stream Attack on Titan 😁

Re: Expand streaming app aka like Crunchyroll
I was getting around it by using screen share with my.phone to the tv, but it just destroys the battery and now my smart tv wifi has stopped so im glad i got sky or id of needed a new tv to watch anything now lol.
I will try the amazon way, but i have a crunchyroll subscription si i hope that is plug and play and not i pay amazon again. They are also known to have these "partners" come and go like the wind lol
