It may be because you have the Paramount channel open on another device, if so log out of the other account.

It has been quite a random error on here.
First try repowering your Sky q main box, leaving off power for a few minutes.
Next time you open Paramount app, play anything and pause it for a few minutes, then play as normal. This does seem to wake up the app and improve its stability.
