My earphones work on the TV, but when I switched to Sky, there's no sound through the earphones

There may be a television setting you need to change, using the TV remote.

A Q box itself doesn't output audio to headphones.

Thank you. I took your advice and rebooted the TV. Myvearphones work perfectly.
