I have sadly decided not to renew Sky Q this year, as i wanted to save some money and was not watching Sky channels - I was hoping I can just plug the sat cables into my freesat enabled LG TV and watch the usual free channels. To my disappointment i found my dish was upgraded with new LNB to have SKY Q now I cannot go back to using freesat on my TV.
I feel the engineer or sky installation team should inform new customers about this, or just install the hybrid LNB by default. Now I will have to change the LNB to HD one or buy a Freesat 4K box which is not cheap- I will have to foot anywhere between £120-£200 to get this done.
What are my chances if I ask SKY to reinstall the old LNB?

@nidash why not contact an independant installer to change the LNB back to a standard LNB hopefully that should be cheaper than a new box
