Downgrade to standard definition?

I pay £9 for Sky HD and £6-£4 = £2 for Sky Sports HD.

If I downgrade Sky HD to SD (saving £9), will Sky Sports still be in HD?

Would GB News, BBC and ITV still be in HD?

Hi @Blighty

You can only ask.  Don't know if you will get a sensible answer.

Edit I should add that Sky Cinema and Sky Sports is in HD as standard

Hi @Blighty

Sky Sports is in HD as standard (although the HD option is shown priced separately in your Account).

You will still get any free to air channels that are in HD.

However it should be borne in mind that some SD channels are slowly being removed.

Re: Downgrade to standard definition?

Thank you again. That worked well with Sky. I couldn't threaten a cancellation and go through with it, but I politely discussed possible downgrades.

Sky agreed that I could downgrade to standard definition, but I could tell that they did not want to go down that line. Anyway, I agreed on a monthly price reduction, for television only,  from £103 to £73. This is not as monumental as those going down the cancellation route, but it was reasoned and friendly.
