Good evening all.
it's that time of the year again when I shall be thinking about subscribing to the Sky Sports Prem league channel. To my knowledge this is £18 per month on a rolling contract. I know I can call Sky to activate this , however I see I can press the red button on the channel & subscribe this way too. Now this seems the quickest way , however it does state that separate UHD sub required if you want to watch it UHD. Now I believe this to be £6 per month ,
Now the thing is , I must already have the UHD sub as I can watch UHD downloads & content on Atlantic & Max etc. I don't have , nor want movies.
Now the fact I obviously have this sub by sheer nature that I'm currently watching UHD content. , my question is , does this cover Prem League sports channel , or is there yet another UHD sub for sports on top of UHD for entertainment.
I don't want to press the red button & do it only to then find out I can only watch HD Prem matches , or if I call Sky I would like to have an idea.
Appreciate any clarification from Sky or others that have been or are in the same situation.
Many thanks.
JRP

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreThere is only one UHD subscription. If you have it then there's not another for Sports.

Many thanks got your reply.
Even though I already have the UHD subscription , would this be sufficient for just the Prem Football channel , or do I have to take all Sports.
All I want is the one Prem footy channel at £18 pm & not have to pay the UHD £6 for this as I already have it.
Sky do not make this clear.
Cheers

THe UHD sub does not give you any access to any specific channel / or on demand - it allows whatever other subscription you have to be in UHD format (rather than just HD)
You need either the Full SKY Sports sub or a SKY Football Sub (although I don't know what specifically is available for football as I don't follow it) for the Premier League Football - you can get Football on its own but as I say I am not too sure what (they do try to get everyone to sign up to the full sports pack)
