Re: Disney+ free from Sky but there is no activation button why
Hi thanks for the suggestion. I have e mailed sky veiwer again as it seems clear that the new box installed today activates everything except Disneyplus. I now understand the Disneyplus App wasn't tested thoroughly enough to release to general use and it is a known Sky issue. So the free upgrade is not rellay an upgrade. But it is somewhat frustrating and a complete waste of valuable time on both sky engineer and mine as the downloaded programmes could not be transferred over so it is a sgtart again for us. More frustrations something we could all do without.

The Disney Plus App has been used by millions of people in the UK since launch in 2020 and is now available at no cost on your Sky box, with millions successfully using it since it became available a couple of weeks ago. A minority of Sky customers are having trouble activating it.
You don't actually say what issues you're having with it, but if this article helps

Re: Disney+ free from Sky but there is no activation button why
Hello everyone, I am not a technical expert but I do understand that follwoing instrauctions to the letter should provoke the outcome expected. So here is the issue as i see it. on my original SkyQ box i follwed everything that S,ky sent to me they reckoned that my box was not getting the updates to the App and suggested a swap over to an updated SkyQ box which happened quickly but saerme thing happens
- When opening Disney+, the app displays the privacy screen.
- After accepting, I am taken to “Get Disney+ or Sign In”.
- The activation screen never appears.
- The app then loops back to the start every time.
- Troubleshooting already completed:
- Manual software update (box is on Q340.000.12.00L)
- Apps refresh via hidden menu (Home → Settings → 0 0 1 → Select → Refresh Apps)
- Reset Apps
- Full system restart
- Broadband connection confirmed stable
- Netflix and YouTube both load and function normally
- Engineer visit: A Sky engineer replaced my Sky Q box today but was unable to check whether the apps (including Disney+) were functioning before he left. The issue with Disney+ began immediately after the box replacement, which suggests the Disney+ app did not install correctly on the new box.
- This matches the known Sky Q Disney+ app corruption fault, where the Disney+ module fails to install properly after a box swap or firmware update or am i wrong to assume that errors still occur post testing. By the way I ghhave no idea where Angrynow came from it s not my chosen handle
