Discovery +

So I can view Discoery + on my main box, yet not on the mini box, spoken to two technicians for 2 hrs at a time, yet still not resolved 🙈

Hi @Michelle1962 

First thing to do is to check your software on all boxes to make sure they are on the latest Software.
Home - settings - System info - Highlght Software version and then select Setup and then select Update this box with latest Software.
Any Q box (including minis) may require a manual software update at times.
For example a replacement Q box or mini or any box that is powered off when an update is released.
However bear if mind that when you select Setup (in Setting - System info - Software version) the message received will always be update this box with the latest software even if the box is already on the latest version.
Updating when already on the latest version achieves nothing and the box software is not refreshed.
All Q boxes and minis should be on the same software version.

If the Software is all up to date.

First try rebooting the main Q box and then when this is completely back up and running reboot the mini.
To reboot press Standby on your Sky Q remote (if the box responds to the remote), and then switch off and unplug at the mains.
Wait at least 30 secs and then Plug back in and switch your Sky Q box back on at the mains.
Wait for the on screen instructions to disappear and the front led to turn Amber. Then wait for 30 secs before you press Home on your Sky Q remote or if this is not working press the standby button on the front of the Q box (Amber led)

note: some features may take up to 5 minutes to return.

Reboot the mini as above.
If the mini still does not connect reliably try a Network Reset on the mini.
Network Reset found in mini Home - Settings - Setup - Network.
Highlight Status and then select Reset on the right hand side. Follow instructions to WPS with main Q box.
You will be asked to press the WPS button on the main Q box (not the mini as the Network reset will start the mini WPS automatically).

If you are on Sky Broadband and the Router is nearer to the mini than the main box then you can try pressing WPS on the router instead of the main Q box. If you do this make sure you press the Sky router WPS button and not the router reset button.

Thank you so so much, I did the update of software on both box's, I now have a happy husband 🙂

can't believe I spent over 4 hrs on the phone to technical department,but they definitely need to make sure that when speaking to a customer that they  are on the main box & not the mini one!,

Did you do the reboot of all Q boxes as per my post @Michelle1962

I did all what you've said, but now we are stuck on step 2 of reset on the mini box, it will not go any further, just keeps saying do you have any other sky product that you can connect too 😡

Hi @Michelle1962 

Reset your mini remote by pressing  and holding 7 & 9 together on the remote until it’s led flashes four times. 
This will set it to infrared which will work all Q boxes.   However the remote must be pointed directly at the mini box.

Switch your mini box back on and you then you should be able to complete the Setup

Once you get the mini working make sure that you are pointing your remote at the mini box and press 1 & 3 together until the remote led flashes and follow onscreen instructions to re- pair.

Update, did all what you've said, still doesn't work ok mini box, I just give up
