Discovery+ with Sky Q Essentials

I want to view Eurosport via Sky Essentials, which I understand requires a Discovery+ subscription.  When I search for info, I'm only told that I can't get free Discovery+ (with Essentials).  However I'm prepared to pay to add it.  Is that possible?

No reason why you cannot subscribe to Discovery plus direct and not through Sky

Thanks for the suggestion @oldfella. I'd hoped to integrate it with Sky so I could record programmes on the Q box. Could I use the record function if the channel is a separate app?

Hi @oldfella, since posting my initial response I've decided to accept your suggestion.  Recording isn't such an issue with Eurosport as much of their offering can be viewed on demand.  Thanks again.

You cannot record Discovery plus as it is purely a streaming App. same as all Apps which are stream only)
