According to Sky's website, there are 3 different 2TB Sky Q boxes....
32B0
32B1
SkyQ2TB with Ultra HD
Is there any output quality difference between the 3?
I had mine replaced last year with apparently the 'top box' which is a 32B1 box. Is this correct?
I've just added Ultra HD to my package and will be setting up with my new 4k TV next week, so just making sure I've got the best / correct setup.
Thanks

hi @jsstevo
As per
Home - Settings - System Info - Hardware Version
32B0xxx (V1) is UHD but non HDR 2TB Box
32B1xxx (V2) is UHD & HDR 2TB Box (which has a separate Power supply)
32B2xxx (V3) is UHD HDR 1TB or 2TB Box
There is no difference in image quality between a V2 & V3
The V2 like the V1 does not have a UHD capable iPlayer app for some reason but we recommend customers to use their TV's own app anyway
BTW The majority of V3 boxes are 1TB not 2TB - 1TB HDR boxes being the standard for some time and 2TB v3 boxes seem generally thin on the ground
Like some other SUs, I have a V2 box with separate power supply which I think may be better as it allows the box itself to run cooler

The last Q hardware release was the 1TB UHD/HDR box in late 2019: if you wanted more recent video processing hardware you'd have to move to a Stream puck.

Thanks all.
I think I'll stick with the 32B1 (external power supply) for the time being then!
I would like to give the pucks a try but unfortunately Sky won't allow me to upgrade my BB past 150 (gfast), even through OpenReach say I can have up to 330 on my line with gfast.

That's correct: Sky has never offered the higher tier of G.fast, and is now one of the very few remaining ISPs to resell it at all.
Any individual puck only uses around 20Mbs for UHD, and much less for HD.
