Sounds like the box had crashed and wasn't responding to the remote until you powered it off and back on.

It did it yesterday  to I did same

Work ok

Your box might be starting to go wrong. If it does it again tomorrow post in here and we can escalate to Sky who can look into whether you might need a new Q box.
