DPD missed delivery

Hi I’m waiting for a DPD delivery of a new sky box. DPD have emailed me to inform me that the driver has tried to deliver but had no answer. I have spoken to DPD and explained that there is no possible way that the drive attempted delivery as I have a video door bell that records within 3metres and sounds in the house and notifies me on my phone. There is also a CCTV camera that covers my drive that records and notifies me on my phone. I also have dog that barks. They have told me that they will try again at some point today. I am self employed and will now loose a day’s money because of this… is sky going to reimburse me for my lose of earnings???

No, why should they?   It is DPD who claimed they tried to deliver to you not Sky.

I doubt  either will cover loss of earnings.

@Wildabeast

As a sidenote ~ remember to remove your viewing card from the faulty box before it eventually disappears into the back of a DPD van. I agree with @GD1 in that Sky won't reimburse you any loss of earnings and I doubt DPD will either.
