DISH UPGRADE TO SKYQ
During the summer we enquired about upgrading from Sky HD+ to SkyQ. Each time I rang Sky TV about other queries the call handler tried to convince us to do this upgrade hence my new enquiry. An engineer visited and said since the existing dish was on the roof he would have to book the high level team. There are four floors to this block but the dish can be accessed from the landing of the top floor. Clearly a previous installer had achieved this and our cable was attached to that dish when we moved here in 2018.
In come the high level team, and yes one guy was about seven feet tall. They said we would need consent from the freeholder to add a new dish. The present one could not receive SkyQ. We assured them we would get that consent which we did and duly submitted.
We heard nothing from Sky. Rang back, call handler said since this was a complex issue he would have to contact anther team and a response could take TWO WEEKS.
I wrote a letter to Sky UK 2-3 months ago, neither my phone call nor that letter has produced a response. Clearly Sky do not want to do this upgrade for a Platinum customer that has been with them for 10-15 years. Has anyone had a SkyQ dish successfully installed? One call handler said "Why don't you go for Sky through the internet"? I know streaming seems to be the industry trend now but why can't Sky respond to my enquiries in writing rather than a call handler verbally suggesting an alternative?
I am a bit suspicious of a TV service that is entirely dependent on an internet connection without a dish. Our broadband is still copper down to the green box in the street and there are plenty of users who say “Insist on full-fibre before signing up for an all-streaming service”.

Re: DISH UPGRADE TO SKYQ
@fasttrack1966 Does the dish serve all properties within the block? If it does then Sky can't/won't touch it and it would be down to the building management team to get it upgraded.

Re: DISH UPGRADE TO SKYQ
Yes it does. But Sky had the choice of installing a 2nd dish which I got consent for from the block owners.
