Constant technical problems between main sky box and mini box

I am constantly unable to watch any sky as there is a technical problem between my main sky box and mini box every day.

@James02 not sure what you have already tried but 

 

Have you tried rebooting your main Q box ie
putting your box into Standby then switching it off at the wall for 30 seconds
switch it back on then follow the on screen instructions

then 

rebooting your mini box
