Constant dropped frames
I've been suffering from frequent brief video glitches on all channels for several weeks - no artifacts, just dropped frames causing the video to jump for a moment every couple of minutes on Sky content only - it doesn't happen when viewing Netflix etc via the TV. Sometimes accompanied by an audio dropout. Any ideas? This is on a hard-wired system running on a gigbit fibre network and the behaviour persists through reboots and HDMI cable swapping. Satellite signal is very strong. Sky Q box was replaced approx 6 months ago when engineer also checked wires to the dish. I have constant 930Mbps up and down.
32B12C 2TB UHD Q box • Mini boxes x2 (32D0B2) • 2022 LG C2 OLED TV • Software vQ230.000.14.00L • Gigaclear gigabit FTTH broadband (935Mbps up/down) • Linksys Velop tri-band router; 3 mesh nodes • All Q boxes fully Cat6 hardwired • Q wi-fi disabled • Q picture/audio processing disabled (no sound bar) • Pixellation cured by Q170 but back again with Q190 and now every few minutes with Q210 and Q220 live broadcasts and recordings on all boxes

Q insists on a fixed video mode regardless of the material source. Default is 1080/50 (or 4k/50) - which can sometimes result in a 'mismatch' of frames.
There is an 'app judder reduction option' which switches apps to 1080/60 (4k/60) which may be better for some material.
Whilst it maintains the highest compatibility it may not give the best video quality. If your TV has a native app then it will almost always be better to use that.

Re: Constant dropped frames
Hi @Q-tips
Your Download speeds are irrelevant to Q as it needs nothing like this to achieve reliable download and streaming.
When you turned off the Q WiFi was this done immediately after a Network reset on each individual Q box. (Without using WPS)?

Re: Constant dropped frames
Dish, box or hdmi cable I reckon.
Your sig mentions pixellation in the past which suggests dish would be my first suspect.

Re: Constant dropped frames
@Q-tips I purchased a LG TV, once, for my daughter and the motion behaviour with anything Sky was appalling. The feed on any Sky channels used to freeze then attempt to catch up with it causing Hobbits to run faster than Usain Bolt, never had the same with any Samsung TV's.
The solution was to adjust the motion settings within the TV
You can use Phil Hintons, from the excellent AVForum, picture settings here https://youtu.be/K27LomsyyZ0 they are for the G2 but can be used also for the C2 as well.

If the native material is being forced into an 'incorrect' framerate then subsequent processing by the TV could make a dog's dinner of it...
This is broadcast material though so it's all at 50 (or sped up to 25 and doubled.)

Duh, I should have read the OP properly... (Unless the source material has been pre-processed to 50Hz, e.g. 60Hz American master)

Yeah although a majority of their stuff (that's worth watching) is shot at 24 I guess
