Re: Connectivity issues when Smart TV is being used
Time to complain to the TV retailer and then Samsung for us. John Lewis will be getting a call in the morning!

Re: Connectivity issues when Smart TV is being used
Good luck with that as I have 4 samsung tv's, two with miniboxes, and zero issues.
However I hope you get a result.

Re: Connectivity issues when Smart TV is being used
How old are your TVs?
We have three brand new ones and two of those are causing these issues
We also have older ones (all Samsung) that have never caused issues.

Re: Connectivity issues when Smart TV is being used
We have had to completely disconnect the two smart TVs that were causing the problems from the wired network and from the wifi network, or else theres intereference with the sky mini boxes that simply cannot be fixed

Re: Connectivity issues when Smart TV is being used
Hi, just wondered if you got anywhere complaining to Samsung.? I did call them but as long as the their product is working (which to be fair, it did) they werent interested. Wasn't suprised TBH, I generallt try and avoid buying any Samsung products.
It's really aggraviting, I have another LG TV, not connected to a Sky box, just the internet via WiFi and I can use that and all the Sky Mini boxes work fine. It's just the blasted Samsung when its connects the internet wireless or wired, have tried both!

Re: Connectivity issues when Smart TV is being used
Sorted this out by putting a managed switch between the router and all the ethernet leads that used to plug into it.
You can get one for less than £20. I used the Netgear GS3050E which you can get from amazon. You plug a PC or Laptop in to configure it with your web browser but all you need to do is go advanced network settings and create two vlans by ticking the switch ports that belong to each. The port connected to the router goes in both vlans the sky ethernet port in one and the rest of the ports in the other. I use mains ethernet adaptors for the skyq boxes and turn the wireless off in the sky q boxes via the hidden menu. Final step is to turn the WiFi back on in the tv although if you have a direct ethernet connection to the switch (what would have been to the router) you won't need to do this.
