Connecting my remote to tv

I've followed all steps and connected my remote to my sky box but it won't connect to the TV so I carnt do volume, turn on/off by my sky remote, I've tried typing the model of my TV in and it doesnt find it,

My old remote was connected to the TV so I'm a little co fused into what to do now

Hi @Wilmasue 

Try just putting the TV brand in (not the model) and use Find it me in the setup.

What Brand and Model is your TV @Wilmasue ?

Hi @Wilmasue 

The suggestions are referring to setting up the remote for your TV.

You have said that Bush brands are not being recognised.

So my post suggests you try Vestel brand in the remote 1 & 3 pairing for your TV.

If this doesnt work there is also Other Brands.  This is also shown in the TV brand list

Helping a neighbour who has just bought a JVC Roku TV model LT-40CR330 , thats not on skys list. Is there another model l can select to get around this or can SKY put it on their list? All replies greetly apprieciated.

@Penrhyn2 have you tried all the JVC  options if none of them work try Vestel

Selected JVC and then selectected model no unknown. It then started to go through a lit of up to 28 settings to control the tv from the sky remote, think it worked on 18.
