Hi. I'm having trouble setting up my mini box in my garden bar. I've had a cat 5 cable from my Plusnet router to the bar and had a WiFi box fitted in there. But I can't get it to connect to the Q BOX. The network comes up as Plusnet on the boxes but the I need it to go onto my bar network as stronger signal than my main WiFi !!
please help me as I'm going mad trying to solve this....🙏

Hi @RicardoC
When your home network is not SKY the minis won't connect to your WiFi but instead use a WiFi generated by the main box which is likely to be too far away.
If you can connect the mini to your network in the garden bar via ethernet and also connect your main box via ethernet to your network that should work but note both must be connected via ethernet on the same network.

Hi. I've got the bar connected by Ethernet but not the Q box. Is there no way of getting this to work without running an Ethernet cable all around my house?
Thank you. 🙏

hi @RicardoC
To connect the main box via ethernet to your network you could try using Powerline adapters instead of ethernet for the full distance
The mini would just need an unmanaged switch connected to your existing ethernet to your Garden bar to connect to

Hi. Could I connect the garden bar mini box via a cable from the Q box instead of the router ( easier to do ) and then my indoor ones via the WiFi. Would that work and what cable would I need?
Thank you

hi @RicardoC
Yes you can connect the mini in the Garden Bar directly to the main box rather both going via your router.
You would need Ethernet Cat5 cable aagain.
The reason I din't mention that is that I thought it would be easier for you to use your existing cable you have run to your garden room and connect the main box to the router but obviously I don't know your layout and any limitations
