I have converted my double garage (about 40ft from our cottage) into a games room and want to be able to watch (and watch recorded) UHD sports in there.
to do this I need to move my main Sky Q box out there (can't watch UHD on a mini) and I will be connecting it to wifi (Virgin) which is being routed out via Ethernet to a booster in the room.
With that sorted I need to solve the problem of connecting the 2 Sky Q mini boxes in the house. I plan to connect the one (now) in the lounge via Ethernet to the main box (as I understand it needs to 'talk' to that. I think this will work if I have it hardwired and the en disable the wifi via settings (001) - but then how do I connect the second mini box or can I leave wifi setting connected and connect the 2 minis that way?
Any help / thoughts appreciated

First thing to check is are you extending or moving the Cables from the Satellite dish to the garage ?
The main dish needs to be connectd to the dish.
I am not too sure that the minis will work as you are thinking - when your home wifi is not SKY then the minis use a wifi signal generated by the main box - I am not sure that this would just work mini to mini

Don't forget that the twin cables from the Satellite dish need to go to the main Q bocce

I am running the cables out to the main box to ensure that works as required.

My plan was to connect the main box to the mini by Ethernet

Could I connect the sky hub booster via Ethernet to the main box and then use that to get the other 2 mini boxes connected?
