Changing package and moving house

I'm about to move house. 26 yrs a Sky customer. Currently got Sky Q (not in contract and paying over the odds).
I want the following package :

Sky Broadband 300mb, Sky Stream & Sky Sports.
I see this package is available but appears to be only for new customers.
Can I have this package ?

if not, I'll cancel and my wife can take it out as new customer.

No, as you're not a new customer.

As long as Sky don't realise...  (They are wise to this)

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own even if you don't like the answers

Hi @Glenn70   Sounds like a plan to me, just cancel completely while still at your old address (31 days notice). Then a new account at your new address, make sure that it is a different name, address, bank account and of course, a new home phone number (if you use it). Nothing that could tie you to your old account including a mobile number.

If you are moving home and cancel your cancel your Sky subscription at your old property and not tell you are moving. You could probably take a new customer subscription at your new address  in own name, as I don't think they will be able tie your old account  now you are at a different address. But may be I might be wrong.

Re: Changing package and moving house

Thanks all for your advice.

I'll cancel and put new package in wife's name along with her phone number and email address.

And bank details. Don't forget to cancel your existing package in plenty of time, as a new tenant will have difficulty getting broadband if yours is still live. They'll send the packaging to your existing address to send the equipment back as well so you may be better off being Sky TV and broadband-less for a little while before moving.
