Changing SkyQ default WiFi Network
I recently got a WiFi Booster to improve the connection for my SkyQ mini box. I want to change the default wifi network it connects to but I can't find any way to change it without it going back to the original whenever I power up the box.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi @Susan124
Is this a Sky Q WiFi booster?

Re: Changing SkyQ default WiFi Network
No we have Virgin Media main WiFi and this is a TPLink booster off of that.

Re: Changing SkyQ default WiFi Network
Thanks for the response.
I have managed to connect the box to it before but it just reverts back to the original. Is there any way to forget a WiFi from the boxes memory so that it won't connect on its own and the only one connected is the one I choose?

Hi @Susan124
Mini using WiFi will only connect reliably to Sky Q WiFi. Either from the main Q box or a Sky router or Sky Q WiFi booster

Re: Changing SkyQ default WiFi Network
Thank you. Is there any way to completely refresh a mini box to completely standard with no previous settings etc on it?
Thanks again

Re: Changing SkyQ default WiFi Network
The reason I done this was because there was a Virgin Media WiFi booster that broke and was obsolete so we swapped it for a TPLink, there wasn't a problem with connections before and that wasn't sky?

Re: Changing SkyQ default WiFi Network
Sky Q minis don't connect to third party WiFi, they connect directly to the main box. If you need to boost the signal between the main box and mini, you will need a Sky Q Wifi Booster.
