Cant select anything with my sky q remote

I can't select any programmes using my sky q remote, I have changed the batteries, turned off sky q, but nothing is working

Hi @Millsey

With the Q box on with green led try completly resetting your Bluetooth remote.
Press and hold 7 & 9 together on the remote until it’s led flashes four times.
Then make sure that you are pointing your remote at the Q box and press 1 & 3 together until the remote led flashes and follow onscreen instructions to re- pair.

Thanks have pushed 1 & 3 and it's come up with toys sky q remote is paired, gives me the option to continue or skip step but I can't select anything

Have also tried another 2 sky q remotes on the sky q box but the select button doesn't work either
