Cancelling contract

I spoke to a gentleman from sky on  on the 27th January and told him that I wanted to cancel my sky  contract after 25 years he said that he could offer me a new deal as follows 24 month contract with the same package plus sky cinema, that I have at the moment for 41.50 a month I told him that I would think about it and arranged a call back He called back on Tuesday and confirmed the offer stated but I would have to pay 20.00 as the offer he had made was me being treated as new customer. I accepted the deal and paid 20.00 by card. he also said that he had arranged for an engineer to call at my home on the 10th March to set the new equipment up Once the  payment had been made the agent said that I would have to ring after 24 hours and cancel my old contract. on the 5th of February, I called Sky as instructed to cancel my old contract, I spent 1hr and  17 minutes on the phone I spoke to a young lady who after doing the usual security check and I told her that I was told to cancel the old contract she said  and I quote from the chat "Alright i've the access to this account and if you are sure thge changes have been made i'd check your bills on line on Sky app within the next 24-72 hours she said that initially she could not find the call however she later said that she had listened to the chat and confirmed the offer he had made  but could not give me the same dealt the first agent had offered me she said that I could have the same package that I am on now for 62.00 then said that my services had been moved from Sky Q to sky stream I hadnt, I then was put though to the retentions  dept who made me an offer of 51.00 pm with cinema and that she would refund the 20.00 I havent had any confirmation of this offer

Afraid you are not contacting Sky directly here as this is a customer forum.
If you need to contact them you need to persevere by phone.
