Cancelling Sky Q

Hi there,

 

I used to work for Sky in IT for the last 12 years (last working day was the 4th of April 2025) and was told I would get a 4 week grace period of free Sky with all the trimmings. It's almost been 4 weeks and I still haven't received a letter asking if I'd like to continue my Sky Q subscription. I have tried 4 times today to cancel it but my account is still classed as a staff account so get passed to an automated line which has no option for cancellation. I keep going in circles and it's getting rather frustrating now.

What I don't want to happen is to not receive the letter and then Sky try and bill me for the full subcription. Whilst I was working in Sky the staff line was brilliant but now I'm on the other side of the fence I must say, the customer service is dreadful and way too muchh automation involved.

Please, just cancel my entire Sky Q subscription.....

Skys customer service call centres are closed due to technical issues. You can't cancel anything via the public forum. 

If the staff line no longer works for you you'll need to call the general number when it's back working.

Yeah I have been talking to some of my old colleagues about what's going on today so well aware of the situation but just wanted to air my frustration about the customer service now I'm on the 'other side', way too much automation involved.
