To remove part of your TV package you will need to contact Sky and give the appropriate 31 days notice.
Select ‘Need more help’ at the bottom of the following link which will lead to contact details.
https://www.sky.com/help/articles/cancel-sky-tv#contact-leave
(Make sure the flag in the bottom right corner is the correct one ie; UK or ROI).
UK customer ~ The link may include an email link and also a Message Us option (which is normally available between 9am and 7.30pm).
ROI customer ~ it’s only by calling Sky Ireland or writing in.

I did this last year for the Christmas period and was shocked when it carried on after the £6 for three months. I did manage to cancel it but it took her awful lot of effort. I've done it again this year for Christmas because we do like movies at Christmas but £19 a month is way too much for the old stuff that they show most of the time It's on Netflix and Amazon Prime anyway so its really not worth the money. so next year, I am going to write to them and cancel it about a month before the £6 trial runs out. I'll see if that works. getting through by phone is a nightmare. Ittook me two days to get anywhere last time. It would be good if it was £6 extra a month that's enough to pay.

@Jubliathanks for ur reply iv cancelled mine now they said it would be cancelled on the 31st of Dec iv got it free till then, like you said if it was £6 a month that's not too bad but no way can I afford £19 a month on top of what I'm already paying, il see if they can do me a deal after Xmas, well I can try anyway. 😂👍

When i recently had a skyQ upgrade i was offered a 3 month trial of Ultra HD and Sky Cinema . After a couple of days the picure in UHD was dull and grey on my TV so i asked sky to remove it . I then tried to watch the movies but found so many repeats and old movies that i decided to cancel after a month. When i went on the phone to cancel this the automated system asked me if i was calling to cancel this free trial and i said yes and assumed that this would then be cancelled and assumed this was a new procedure to reduce the calls the cancellation team need to handle.. I received no confirmation email or text and this month was charged around £13 extra on my account . Has anyone else had issues with this because it always used to be the case that you needed to call to get parts of your TV package removed. After spending 90 mins on two phone calls today i was told that they would refund on my next bill but the first operator was very beligerant and unhelpful and wanted to continue to argue with me that i still had to pay the 31 days notice period. Ive been with sky for over 20 years and VIP and i am not happy to be treated like a liar when i felt i had met the conditions set out for cancellation. Note in future believe nothing until you get written confirmation.
