Can't get volume to work on sky remote on new Samsung TV

Tried the press 7 and 9 buttons to reset the remote. Light flashes. But the next step of pressing buttons 1 and 3 does nothing. All buttons other than volume work. Any other suggestions please?

Hi @TD1211 

With the Q box on with green led try completly resetting your Bluetooth remote.
Press and hold 7 & 9 together on the remote until it’s led flashes four times.
Then make sure that you are pointing your remote at the Q box and press 1 & 3 together until the remote led flashes and follow onscreen instructions to re- pair.

As said above I've done that. 1st step works but the 1 and 3 part does nothing.

There are no on screen instructions.

hi @TD1211 

Edit our last posts crossed.

Assume you are OK now and can ignore the following.
The Television needs to be on and switched to the Correct HDMI input
First reboot the Q box.

Have you tried rebooting your Q box?
To reboot press Standby on your Sky Q remote (if the box responds to the remote), and then switch off and unplug at the mains.
Wait at least 30 secs and then Plug back in and switch your Sky Q box back on at the mains.
Wait for the on screen instructions to disappear and the front led to turn Amber. Then wait for 30 secs before you press Home on your Sky Q remote or if this is not working press the standby button on the front of the Q box (Amber led)

note: some features may take up to 5 minutes to return.

Then with the Q box on with green led.

If the remote led flashes 4 times when you press and hold 7 & 9 together on the the remote it is in infrared mode and not paired to Q box or television.

Assuming the television is still on displaying Sky content or Home  screen the you must point the remote directly at the Q box sensor and press and hold 1 & 3 together.  The remote should flash and you should see onscreen instructions.
