Can’t get no live tv channels

Hi just moved into a new property and I can't get no live tv channels. I can get recordings and catch up and the apps. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thank you.

@PandJ2020 makes a very valid point. Do you know what Sky set up the previous occupant had (which is why I asked if you'd had an engineer out who would have changed the LNB if necessary)?

Did you arrange a Sky Home Move? Was it working okay when the engineer left?

Hi no sky said I didn't need an engineer I was told to just connect the box and it will work.

What are you seeing when you try to watch live TV? Are you seeing any error messages?

Whenever a “no satellite signal” message is displayed, that relates to your Sky Q box, so firstly check that the connections from the Sky dish going into the back of your Sky Q box are still finger tight. Also check out the troubleshooting on this link
https://www.sky.com/help/articles/sky-tv-no-satellite-signal-sky-q
It may then give you the opportunity to arrange an engineer to check the alignment of your dish.

A misalignment is not necessarily something that will be visible to the naked eye and could only affect one or two channels. If you’re on a communal dish you’ll need to liaise with your landlord or building management company who deal directly with their approved engineers.

If the previous occupier had Sky+ then the LNB won't work with Q.

No im not sure what the previous tenant had but I think this might be the problem.

Try the troubleshooting on that link but I think you will need an engineer. Give Sky a call to arrange one.

Ok, it's likely to be the LNB.  You'll need Sky to visit to change it.  (If this proves to be the case then I'd be pursuing for a credit for the period you could not access the services as it was their advice)
