So - the red power light on the right has stayed on? Is the box working but the light isn't changing to amber/green?

no it changed to Amber Green the light on the box but every so often the light on the box turns Amber red and then the box starts itself it sort of reboot itself Does this mean the box is doing the software update? Yes or no

Is this happening around 2AM? In which case yes it's the daily maintenance cycle.
FYI I'm sure it wasn't your intention but writing "yes or no" at the end of your posts sounds a bit aggressive. It reads as if you're demanding a simple answer because you feel like you're being given the runaround.

Sorry what do you mean? I don't understand I have got a learning disability way, put yes or no descendants I well try and stop doing that putting yes or no at the end of my sentences when I asked question.

If the box is turning itself off and back on at about 2 or 3AM at night, then yes that is normal.
