COST OF LIVING - SKY TV

I'm out of Contract but want to keep SKY TV.

I have SKY Signature, SKY Q, SKY Sports, HD, Netflix and Multiroom.  SKY Signature costs £28.75 and I'd be happy without this by using Freeview. I'm currently paying £91.75 and would like it to be around £60 !

If I can't get a reduction I'm thinking of Cancelling the Sports package (£30).

If I can't get a reduction I would consider scrapping SKY altogether.

Anyone got any ideas ?  As we know its very difficult to actually speak to anyone within this company.

Thanks!

NoSh

Signature is the base subscription - you cannot have any other premium channels or features without it.

You can use the chat function to negotiate (or give notice to leave).

Re: COST OF LIVING - SKY TV

Thanks for your quick reply !

yes, I realise that about Signature ... this is a great way of SKY making money for stuff that most people don't require and can get cheaper elsewhere - i.e. FREEVIEW.
I pay, roughly the same for SIGNATURE as I do for the complete SKY SPORTS Package.
Anyway ... thanks again.

id like to more how I can negotiate using the Chat facility ? ... I find the Chat facility not very helpful for things like this ..... it's all generic stuff.

Regards,

NoSh

Signature is very much NOT freeview.  It includes the Sky channels such as Showcase, Max & Atlantic for starters.

I've perfectly well cancelled and renegotiated packages via the chat.  (This is live chat, not the chat bot)

If you want premium channels via Q then Signature is a prerequisite.  Sky offer singular premium channels via the NOW service which do not have such prerequisites.

Re: COST OF LIVING - SKY TV

Thanks for your input ... I appreciate it.
I suppose my issue is that I generally don't watch any of the "Signature" programmes. So, I'd be happy without ANY of the Signature programmes. ... So basically I'm paying for something I don't want.

I'll have a look at NOW ... maybe there's  a solution somewhere with them !

thanks again

By definition Sky  is subscription television, and so a baseline subscription channel bundle is a basic requirement with 'premium' add-ons such as Sports and Cinema being just that.

NowTV offers Sky Sports as a standalone option, but it's worth considering whether consumption of that kind of content without a local recording option for time-shifting is an issue.
