Builders need to move sky dish
I'm having a extension built and the wall the sky dish is on is being taken down

Then you won't be able to receive any Sky TV service if there's nowhere to relocate your dish to.

As @Angel_Aka indicates, Q requires a periodic subscription refresh signal sent over the satellite and so won't function even for on-demand content or Recording playback without a dish feed.
You could potentially use Sky Go, but you'd need to unplug the main Q box from its mains connection otherwise the app tries to use dish reception for live channels.

Hopefully you mean the builders want the dish moving, not that they intend to move it themselves?
Sky will carry out the moving of the dish provided there is a suitable alternative place for it. Call Sky to arrange who charge in the region of £65 for this service. You could get a quote from a local independent satellite engineer but make sure they move it to a position that a Sky engineer can easily access in the event of a dish issue.
