Bt Router other side of house to my Modem I have Sky Q

Been trying to get help from Sky for over an hour now with no joy.  I am moving house soon.  The router is at one side of the property and the lounge at the other about 25 feet away.  I have Sky Q with 2 mini boxes.  I watch the usual sky programmes , box sets and Netflix. Can the Sky Q box and minis run from the dish only  and pick up a wifi signal from my router without having to be connected by an ethernet cable ?  Ive been a Sky Subscriber since analogue and this si the first time I've asked for help from Sky but got no help whatsoever

Thanks

Hi @Shiney19

Unfortunately WiFi is unpredictable and not only depends on distance but also construction of obstacles in its path.

Sky will provide Q WiFi boosters to aid connectivity but it would have to be tried to know if connection is possible.

hi @Shiney19 As you are with BT you need to be aware that the minis do not connect to your wifi but to a wifi signal generated by your main Box so the position of your BT router for the minis is not releavnt as such - although it is relevant if connecting the main box to your router via wifi
