Pretty much everyone who returns hardware to Sky gets these messages.
Sky's returns procedures have been broken for years. Unipart, who deal with all hardware returns, are incredibly slow and inept when it comes to logging items correctly. Sky unfortunately automatically sends out these messages even though the hardware is logged on the system as being 'in transit' or some such.
It's a very badly designed returns procedure which both Sky and Unipart seem incapable of doing anything about. All you can do is contact Sky directly with your proof of posting and they will cancel further incorrect communications.

Thanks for your reply , makes sense that it's handled by the can't be bothered squad, I now seen it's a common problem

Now 21st January and have sent pictures of proof of postage, that was accepted on December 24, I have now been told I will be billed £165 for non return, I have yet again phoned sky and had a promise it is sorted, it seems a very poor service when they have acknowledged in my messages thank you for returning our equipment,
