Blue screen

Q box is on but no picture or sound. The screen is blue with the words:

"This screen does not support HDCP. Try reconnecting your HDMI cable, or use a different screen"

I have tried reconnecting the HDMI cable, but to no avail, I do not have another screen. Why is this happening?

Hi @SGO67

Refit the HDMI (again) at both ends and then reboot your Q box.

To reboot press Standby on your Sky Q remote (if the box responds to the remote), and then switch off and unplug at the mains.
Wait at least 30 secs and then Plug back in and switch your Sky Q box back on at the mains.
Wait for the on screen instructions to disappear and the front led to turn Amber. Then wait for 30 secs before you press Home on your Sky Q remote or if this is not working press the standby button on the front of the Q box (Amber led)

note: some features may take up to 5 minutes to return.

Re: Blue screen

Thanks @oldfella

I've tried what you have suggested but all remains the same. It's a bit strange because I have been using the same setup for years now and nothing like this has happened before. Sky are going to send me a new HDMI cable but I'm not sure it's gonna work because I've already tried a different lead.

Hi @SGO67   Sorry if I missed it, but did you try rebooting the TV?

Re: Blue screen

Hi @oldfella & @Anonymous

I left everything turned off and unplugged overnight and now after switching it all back on this morning I have found, to my relief that the blue screen has cleared and the picture has returned. All is back working as it should be.

Thanks for your suggestions, much appreciated.
