Black screen

Sky q box is showing green light, says everything is fine. All wires and connections checked but the screen is just black

Is the TV on?  And selected the correct HDMI input?

Hi @Ce15 

First make sure that the Television is switched on and is switched to the HDMI input to which the Q box is connected.
Then with the Q box switched on with green led illuminated
Press
Home 1 0 8 0 Home
on the Q box remote control.

This will change the Q box to standard resolution which should work for all TV’s.

Yes of course I had the tv on, and on the correct hdmi channel and I followed all troubleshooting options online and on the app. I fear I need an engineer but they do not work weekends

Yes of course I had. It was on and working today it went to standby mode due to inactivity and when I pressed it back on, the light turned green but the screen stayed black. Very odd.

Try power cycling the Sky box.
