Black screen/planner rebuild?
How do I do a planner rebuild?
on record, rewind, try to get back to where I was watching, black screen. Pul plug on box. Wait, reboot but still black screen?

A planner is a Sky+ term. Can you confirm you have Sky Q where you've posted.

just read it was a sky+ feature.

So if you've currently lost the epg reboot your router first then try a reboot of the main Sky Q box, then once that’s back up and running do the same with any mini boxes if necessary-
~ Using the remote put your main Sky Q box into standby
~ switch the box off at the plug
~ wait at least 30 seconds and then switch the box back on at the plug
~ follow the on screen instructions
~ when the screen goes blank and the blue Q stops pulsating wait another 30 seconds
~ press the 🏠 button

switched off router and Q box. Left for ten mins. Just need to await next episode that I need to rewind or restart a program that I'm watching.
it does seem to be more on recorded programs at late afternoon,maybe it's because I'm just settling to watch tv at ghat time of day. Thanks for you advice.
