Black screen, no message, red on box
Hi my TV screen went black, tried to restart after checking all connections but still black. On sky Q box red in middle although green light on, can u help please? Have done the usual on and off for both box and router

Hi @Lizzie12345
First make sure that the TV is switched on and is switched to the HDMI input to which the Q box is connected.
Then with the Q box switched on with green led illuminated
Press
Home 1 0 8 0 Home
on the Q box remote control.
This will change the Q box to standard resolution which will work for all TV’s.

Hi @Lizzie12345
Is the Q box on with green LED?
Have you tried pressing the Standby button (Amber led) on the front of the Q box.
If this turns the Q box on
Try completly resetting your Bluetooth remote.
Press and hold 7 & 9 together on the remote until it’s led flashes four times.
Then make sure that you are pointing your remote at the Q box and press 1 & 3 together until the led flashes and follow onscreen instructions to re- pair.

The Q box in the middle is red...I tried pressing it and it just beeped for a while, but stayed red. The connection (or whatever it is!) light to the right, yes that is green after connecting starting amber

Normally the Red led in the centre means that the box is recording or downloading On Demand.
Are you sure that your TV is switched to the correct HDMI input for the Q box?

Thanks, yes you must be right as the red light switched off. Now just the green light and black screen still. Don't understand how it cd change HMI mid program, but happy to try your advice. How do I deal with that please? Thanks

Hi @Lizzie12345 You will need to use the remote control four the TV and not the SKYQ remote. with the SKYQ box on, find the source button on your TV remote, and select the HDMI port that the SKYQ box is connected to?
I used to have superpowers… But a therapist took them away.

Hi @Lizzie12345
When you have made sure that the TV is switched to the correct HDMI input make sure that the Q box is on with green led and try again with
Home 1 0 8 0 Home
on the Q remote

How do I check the HDM1 please when the screen is black and can't use sky? Sorry to be dim 😔

Oh dear, it goes bad to worse...after eventually finding the TV remote and changing the batteries...old ones totally corroded, don't think this TV remote is working. Looked for a replacement but it seems they don't do them anymore
