Be nice to have sky Q
Hey I wonder if someone could help, I've messaged on here before but no reply.
So long shot again I booked in an engineer to install sky Q, arrived was told he didn't want to do it due to drilling holes in the walls we said fine but he just declined so I've been trying to get it installed but I don't particularly want to keep paying these upfront costs every time and not getting my deposits back, how would I go about speaking with someone?
Many thanks in advance
Jodie

Re: Be nice to have sky Q
@Xxbabyjojoxx am I right to assume that the engineer won't drill through your wall because of the risk of damage? If so, I don't think Sky will be able accept a waiver from you, but you might wish to ask if it's OK for you to arrange for the wall to be drilled by a local tradesman (at your own cost) so that the installation can then go ahead?

Re: Be nice to have sky Q
@Xxbabyjojoxx are your walls stone or brick?
What was the reason given why the Sky installation engineer refused to drill holes in your walls?
Drilling holes in walls is a normal part of a Sky install!

Retrofit external insulation, passive-house construction, some cladding and complex internal membranes can be an issue. An installer could also refuse to proceed if they weren't certain that the customer would accept the result.
