Batteries leaked in remote

Good evening, our remote tonight stopped working, we only received the box in June. On opening the remote one of the batteries had leaked badly. Concerned that over the length of the contract this may be a problem. Seems pretty poor for the batteries to have leaked so soon whilst in daily use.

has anyone experienced this? Is there any suggestions on how best to clean the leaked battery fluid.

Hi @Lk112

Probably best to use the following form to get a replacement remote.

Check the following link and it will lead to a form for a replacement remote.

Re: Batteries leaked in remote

This happened to me also I only used sky glass from July and it's not happened again with the replacement remote. The tv doesn't get daily use and this has still happened to two remotes the second one so badly damaged the foil was coming off the battery at the top
